Standing Pilates

Experience the 10 new Advanced Fundamentals. Finish with 21 of the Classic mat exercises reconfigured to Standing Pilates®. These sequences require an evolved technique use of the deeper core muscles of the pelvic floor, transversus abdominus and multifidus (third level).

Advanced Pilates Solutions: Matwork

A weekend course that teaches all of the advanced Pilates Matwork and variations to extend repetory. Using Third Level concepts and cueing we explore why certain bodies are not able to perform advanced exercises and how this can be addressed so that more clients gain proficiency. Finally, we analyze what is complex movement and why this challenge is necessary for functional movement.

Equipment Certification

A 10 week course (450 hours) to certify in TheMethod® Pilates

Learn to teach the original exercise protocols on the Reformer, Cadillac, and Pilates Chair. Apprenticeship, practice and assistant teaching during and following the course. A written and practical exam is required for final certification.

Standing Apparatus Exercises

A 1-day course to focus on functionality integrating the Third Level of Pilates technique.

Standing Pilates exercises transferred to the Reformer, Cadillac, and the Chair, created to focus on function, and emphasizing balance. Teaches the Third Level of technique which finds deeper connections in the pelvis, back, legs and feet while decreasing effort and increasing ease. Teaches you how to create new exercises on your own. This is the course to take Pilates teaching to the future.

Rehabilitation Protocols

Using a practical case-study format, this is 2-day course that teaches how to train clients with impairments and injuries based on the concept that alterations in muscle performance are the underlying cause. Focuses on healthy joint movement and correct muscle action.

Suggested and contra-indicated exercise protocols for: Rotator Cuff Disorders, Shoulder Instability, Frozen Shoulder, Scoliosis, Adaptive Muscles Changes, Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, Piriformis Syndrome, Bursistis, Hip Replacement, Knee/Leg Disorders, Patellofemoral Syndrome, Meniscal Injuries, Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear, Plantar Fascitis, Inversion Ankle Sprains, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
